Salthouse from Butt Way. The Rocket House is clearly seen on Great Eye.
The little dots to the left of it are bathing huts.

Butt Way is the track leading up to the heath opposite the top of Cross Street where it meets Market Lane. Today it is still passable, but much overgrown. The origin of the name is interesting, the dictionary suggests:

(French butte, “hillock,” or “rising ground”), a flat-topped hill surrounded by a steep escarpment from the bottom of which a slope descends to the plain. The term is sometimes used for an elevation higher than a hill but not high enough for a mountain.

If this is its origin, it could date from Norman times! If anyone knows the true origin of the name I would be interested to hear it.
