The Salthouse register Exhibition in Norwich

At the Archive Centre Norwich April 27th - June 30th

This exhibition celebrated the recent conservation of the oldest records of Salthouse.

The first Register of baptisms, marriages and burials is at last available to the public after being too damaged and tattered to be read before.

here are some pictures of the opening day on March 27th

The Norfolk Record Office staged a terrific exhibition at the Archive Centre in Norwich entirely on Salthouse and the Conservation of the Register and collected all sorts of things to do with the village to add to it. They gave so much time and skill to the conserving of the ruined pages and the exhibition showed so much detail of the process of conservation.
