Will of Elizabeth Abraham
Will made 4 May 1639 by Elizabeth Abraham of Salthouse in the County of Norfolk widow.
Item: I give and bequeath to my grandchild Ellen Clarke two silver spoons three pairs of sheets and one pair of pillow beers and one feather pillow.
Item: I Give and bequeath unto my daughter Margery Dye one silver cup gilded upon condition that she my said daughter shall pay within six months after my decease unto my grandchild Elizabeth Abraham the sum of ten shillings and likewise within the said time of six months next after my decease unto my grandchild Elizabeth Tucke ten shillings both which sums I will to be paid to the fathers of my said grandchildren to the use of my said grandchildren.
Item: I give and bequeath to my daughters Elizabeth Tucke and Margery Dey five silver spoons apiece to be parted equally between them by my executor hereafter mentioned and also I do give unto my said two daughters Elizabeth Tucke and Margery Dey one truncke withal the linen therein marked with the letters L and W which I will shall be likewise equally divided betwixt my said daughters by my executor hereafter mentioned. All my other household stuff bedding linen brasse pewter and other utensils of household whatsoever I will shall be equally divided by my executor hereafter mentioned betwixt my son Robert Abraham my two daughters Elizabeth Tucke and Margery Dey always provided my said son Robert Abraham shall have and enjoy all my other silver spoones and plate of what kind soever which are not formerly bequeathed in this my last will and testament
Item: I give and bequeath unto the Church of Salthouse the sum of ten shillings to be bestowed upon some ornament for the said Church as the minister shall think meet
Item: I give to the poor of Salthouse the sum of ten shillings to be distributed amongst them at the day of my buryall which said sum given to the Church and poor I will shall be payd by equall portions by my said son and two daughters. That is to say sixe shillings eight pence a piece.
Item: I will that all other necessary charges that shall be expended about my funeral shall be disbursed by equall portions by my said son and two daughters.
Item: I give unto Sarah Spareman the wife of Rowland Spareman of Salthouse one of my petticoats and to Dorothy Johnson of Salthouse widow one other petticoat. To Marian Fuller the wife of William Fuller one other petticoat and to Katherine Trougting of Salthouse one other petticoat all which cloth so disposed and bequeathed I will shall be of such kind as my two daughters shall think meet. All my other apparel both lynnen and woollen I give unto my said daughters to be equally divided betwixt them by my executor hereafter mentioned
Item: I do constitute and appoint my son in law Thomas Bredcocke of Salthouse to be the sole and only executor of this my last will and testament and in recompense of his charges about the proving of the same and his payns in fulfilling this my last will and testament in such manner as is herein required I do give unto him twenty shillings to be paid by equal portions by my son Robert Abraham and my two daughters Elizabeth Tucke and Margery Dey that is to say six shillings and eight pence apiece and in witness hereof I have set to this my last will and testament consisting of two sheets of paper set my hand and seale and declared the same to be my last will and testament the day and yeare
