On the night of the 1901 Census, John Dix is not at home with the family. There is a lodger,  Joseph Flan (?unable to decipher) a steam engine maker living with the family. Ann is known to have run a "boarding house" in South Shields

In the 1911 census, Ann is recorded as having 12 children (5 of whom have died by 1911). 

There 2 records for the birth of a John William Dix  both registered in South Shields
- Jun 1869  Vol 10a Page 614 and Jun 1870 Vol 10a Page 690

There is also a record for the death of John William Dix registered in South Shields
- Sep 1870 Vol 10a Page 371 aged 0 years

Given that subsequent children in the family have been named after deceased siblings, is this a child of Ann Dix born before the younger (and surviving) John William Dix?
